
In the past 30 years, the number of obese kids increased by almost 20%. These rates are alarming fast. Some are the reasons why children are gaining unhealthy weight are because of eating portions, genetics, lack of exercise/ daily activity, medication, and environment (Xu and Xue, 2015).

Symptoms of childhood obesity:
Breathing disorder: sleep apnea
Lack of physical activity
High blood pressure
Depression/ low self-esteem
High cholesterol
